Health Benefits of Vaping CBD Oil
Cannabidiol, or CBD oil, is oil that has been extracted from the cannabis plant. Although it’s popularly used to treat many medical ailments, this treatment is controversial. However, CBD oil contains no or little THC, the ingredient that produces the “high” sensation people associate with cannabis. There are many different ways to take CBD, but today we’re going to explore the health benefits of vaping CBD oil.
What are the health benefits of vaping CBD oil?
CBD oil can be taken in the following ways:
- Inhalation via smoking or vaping
- Sublingual via drops placed under the tongue
- Topically via direct application to the skin
- Ingestion with food, or “edibles”
When comparing all available methods, vaping stands out as being one of the safest and fastest working. It’s easy to manage your dose amount, there’s no harsh smoke, and it requires one of the smallest amounts of CBD oil to feel an effect.
What are the health benefits of CBD oil generally?
Studies have found CBD oil is effective in the treatment of pain, anxiety, depression, cancer symptoms, acne, high blood pressure, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis. Unlike many other treatment methods for these conditions, it has almost no side effects and risk of overdose is minimal to non-existent. Because CBD oil contains no or very little THC, it can be used before driving, when working or studying and does not negatively impact your functioning or daily life because you will not get the “high” feeling.
You may feel a sense of calm, and studies have shown that regular, daily CBD oil use can contribute to improved mood, productivity, motivation, and relaxation. While research into this is still ongoing, early results have been promising, with patients and medical professionals reporting positive effects in addition to successful treatment of conditions.
What is vaping?
Vaping is proving itself to be one of the safest and most effective alternatives to smoking, with studies consistently finding smokers being able to reduce and even quit far more effectively when using vapes. Instead of smoking a cigarette or a joint, vapers will use a vape pen, or similar device to inhale vapor produced from the device heating up oil or “juice.” When used as a substitute for cigarettes, oils or juices are usually flavored and contain small amounts of nicotine. This allows the smoker to satiate their nicotine cravings without inhaling harmful smoke and other chemicals. The vapor produced is pleasant smelling, lighter and entirely non-harmful to those around them.
CBD oil can be placed into a vape pen or vaping device in exactly the same way as nicotine “juices,” whereby the device will then heat it up to create vapor which is inhaled by the user. It’s a far safer method of obtaining the health benefits of CBD oil than the old traditional way of smoking cannabis joints.
Why vape over other methods of taking CBD oil?
All four methods of taking CBD oil have their merits as well as their drawbacks. But when all are compared, it’s clear that vaping stands out as possibly the most effective and convenient way to take CBD oil. As noted above, there is no harsh smoke and vapor is lighter on the lungs. Those around you will not be negatively affected or required to endure the smell of smoke.
Dosage is one of the most commonly encountered problems with CBD oil, in terms of knowing how much to take and when. Vaping gives you complete control over how much you use and when you use it. You can have one or two puffs, or twenty puffs, whatever you need. And you can space these out throughout your day as required.
The effects are not quite as long lasting as the edibles method, but the effects are faster felt. And because vaping is so convenient, having another dose is simple and fast. You will also use far less CBD oil in vaping than applying topically or using in edibles. And vaping will offer you a faster effect than sublingual application.
Overall, vaping is the most cost effective method of using CBD oil, in addition to being safe, convenient, and user-friendly.
