Is CBD hemp oil safe?

As cannabis continues to become decriminalized and even legalized in states all across the United States, products containing CBD oil are becoming more and more popular. Cannabidiol (CBD oil) is legal in states with legalized medical and recreational marijuana and is extracted from the flowers or buds of marijuana and hemp plants. It should not be confused with THC, which is the chemical of marijuana that produces a high. CBD oil will not get you high the way marijuana does, but it can relax a person and have many other potential health benefits.

One of the most common ways it’s being used is to treat epilepsy and prevent seizures. The U.S Food and Drug Administration approved CBD medication to treat two rare forms of childhood epilepsy. This is the first CBD product to be FDA approved to actually treat a medical condition rather than just using it as a natural alternative to subdue symptoms.

The usage of CBD oil in products is still fairly new, but the science is beginning to show the positive effects of CBD oil being used in a multitude of different ways. As the industry expands rapidly and we begin seeing more and more products boasting about the effects of CBD oil, you might be asking yourself, “is CBD hemp oil safe to take?” We’re here to answer that question and explain a few of the ways in which CBD oil is helping people every day.

Pain Relief

The human body produces a neurotransmitter called endocannabinoid which binds to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system. CBD has been found to reduce pain by impacting these receptors by interacting with the neurotransmitters to reduce inflammation. Due to these benefits, CBD oil is currently being used to treat arthritis and multiple sclerosis and has been showing promising results. This is why it’s also being used to help cancer patients relieve pain, which has been life-changing for many patients.

Treating Anxiety and Depression

CBD has been found to interact with the brain’s serotonin receptors which regulate mood and behaviors. Mental health disorders are a result of these receptors not producing enough important hormones, but CBD oil has been shown to act on these receptors. Many people have switched from pharmaceutical drugs, which can have more negative side effects than they started with, to the more natural option of CBD oil in order to fight against their depression or anxiety. There are many different CBD hemp oil products out there that can be ingested to help with mental health as well as a natural sleep aid to fight against insomnia.

Reducing Acne

CBD oil has the ability to reduce inflammation and monitor the skin’s production of sebum. An overproduction of sebum is a frequent cause of acne, which is why more and more people are incorporating CBD oil into their skincare routine. CBD oil is gentle and soothing for the skin, which helps to fight against acne and dry skin.

Heart Health

Many Americans suffer from high blood pressure which can lead to a higher risk of stroke, heart attack, and other serious health conditions. Keeping your heart healthy should always be a top priority — and CBD oil has been found to help with this. Research has shown that the stress and anxiety-reducing aspects of CBD oil are also linked to lower blood pressure, which increases overall heart health.

As you can see above, not only is CBD hemp oil safe for you, it can also be very beneficial for certain aspects of your physical and mental health. Just do some research before buying any product with CBD oil in it, so that you understand the correct concentration and dosage you’ll need to get these great benefits.
